Weekend Trip to the Desert on Points & Miles – Phoenix, AZ

A few weekends ago my sisters, mom, and I went to Phoenix for my sister’s birthday. It was just for a quick weekend getaway, and it was only booked a few weeks in advance, but thanks to points and miles, we were able to make it happen. Normally, June-August is prime travel time, but not for Arizona. It’s actually their...

Think business class flights are only for the rich? Think again.

I flew business class on Air France to Rome for the first time and I’ll never be the same.

My mom got to fly with me and we both said it was our favorite part of our trip. We were served a three course meal, got to lay down flat to sleep, and were greeted with real espresso in the morning!

I didn’t want to get off the plane!

The best part of this flight was that it was free! All I paid was the taxes and fees thanks to points and miles.

I thought I would always fly economy, but now the sky’s the limit…well First Class is the limit. 😊

Does it sound too good to be true? I totally understand. I was skeptical for years, BUT a few years ago I figured I’d go on a deep dive and see if this whole points and miles thing was legit.

AND IT WAS! I’ve been able to travel so much more thanks to points and miles.

Have I piqued your interest? I’ve taken all the guesswork out of which cards to open first and how to actually book a trip with points in my “How to Travel for Nearly Free” guide.

All you have to do is comment or message me the words FREE TRAVEL and I’ll send you the link to get started!

NYC at Christmas time! There’s just nothing like i NYC at Christmas time! There’s just nothing like it. 🎄

My sister and I booked a trip to NYC and used Hyatt points to stay for free at the Grayson Hotel.

The Grayson is located in the Garment district just steps away from Bryant Park. This was my second time staying there and both times have been wonderful!

Book this Hyatt hotel in the heart Manhattan on points. Here’s how:

1. Sign up for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. $95 annual fee.

2. Hit the minimum spend in the first 3 months and you’ll get the signup bonus (Woohoo!) This is key. 🔑

 3. Next, go to Hyatt.com and create a free rewards account

 4. Then search Hyatt for the Grayson Hotel and toggle to search by points to see what dates are available and how many points are required.

5. Once you see how many points total it will take to book your trip, then you’ll login to your credit card bank portal and go to transfer partners and find Hyatt.

6. You’ll be prompted to enter your Hyatt rewards number (from step 3) and then you’ll enter how many points you want to transfer from your credit card portal to your Hyatt account and click transfer. (Remember you can’t transfer points back to your credit card portal)

7. The points should transfer automatically, but I’ve experienced it taking 24-48 hours.

8. Once the points hit your account, go back to Hyatt and continue the booking process as you normally would except you’ll apply the points you transferred instead of paying.

9. Voila! You’ve successfully booked the Grayson Hotel. Now start making that NYC bucket list.
